TCBSBM / TAMU Collaborative: Rising Lion Program

Through the Collaborative Collaboration, The Collaborative member student graduates will also have the opportunity to participate in the Rising Lion program.

The Rising Lion program is a structured academic program that allows incoming freshmen to start taking college classes the second summer term (July) and to take advantage of incentives given only to those who enroll in the Rising Lion program.

Rising Lion participants are also eligible to receive the following benefits from A&M-Commerce:

  • Free textbooks for the first six college credit hours of the summer tem1.
  • Opportunity to engage with and acclimate to new friends, join student organizations and adjust to the college environment prior to the start of the fall semester.

Undergraduate Criteria- Rising Lion Program:

  • Applicants must be a high school graduate from a TCBSBM member district.
  • Be officially admitted to A&M- Commerce as a first-time, full-time and degree seeking freshman.

Applicants are required to complete a brief TCBSBM referral application
